Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership, management, coordination and direction in the planning, design, and execution of ZCCM-IH’s ESG strategy, policies, procedures and overall ESG Compliance function at Company and on a Group level with the view to manage risk and reputation that will create opportunities to obtain access to land, capital, approvals and overall social acceptance of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Managing
Take the lead in the design, development, and evolution of the ESG strategies and guidance documents.
Help develop ESG strategy that is achievable, evidence-based, and data-led.
Responsible for managing the implementation and reporting of the ESG strategy for the company and the group.
impacting the company value, investor standings, brand and employer value proposition of ZCCMIH and its Group.
Continuously works toward improving the ESG reporting processes and related internal control environment to ensure ESG data reliability and accuracy.
Works closely with team members, functions and business units to implement robust, audit-proof reporting processes and internal controls.
Responsible for the development, benchmarking, implementation, and review of appropriate sustainability objectives, targets, and improvement programs for each portfolio.
Reporting
Leads the annual ESG Report preparation including information and data gathering, content development and external assurance.
Ensures alignment with ESG disclosure requirements and best practices. Identifies potential challenges and proactively manages them to ensure on time and quality deliverables.
Manages multiple and complex internal and external ESG information request ensuring quality of deliverables in line with company standard and positions and ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Leads and/or support implementation of projects aimed at improving ESG reporting and disclosure at the company.
Creates internal alignment and awareness within the functions and governance structures regarding the preparation of the annual reports and other submissions, reporting process, reporting requirements and action plans to improve ESG reporting and disclosure.
Monitor and report on each portfolio’s sustainability performance and progress against sustainability objectives and key performance indicators.
Identify all critical potential social and environmental impacts and risks of transactions and ensure that their magnitude and significance are well understood.

Policies, strategies and procedures
Ensures Standard Operation Procedures and other documentation supporting ESG reporting activities are in place, follow best practice and properly maintained.
Stakeholder Engagement
Oversees the preparation of responses to inquiries from relevant ESG rating agencies and other organizations. o Point of contact for internal inquiries regarding annual ESG performance data and information. Effectively,
supports relevant functions with ESG performance information. o Builds relations with key internal stakeholders to progress the ESG reporting and disclosure agenda within the company.
Ensure that the Company understands the applicable ESG policies, guidelines and project specific requirements, and has the necessary commitment and capacity to manage social and environmental impacts and/or risks adequately and supported by mechanisms that facilitate implementation.
Help inform group performance against policies, and guidelines related to all aspects of ESG and sustainability.
Acting as the day-to-day subject matter expert and supporting the business divisions to embed sustainability within our business operations.
Technical Guidance
Collaborate closely with the business and key internal leaders, data owners, technical functions, internal audit and external assurance providers to maintain a well-controlled, standardized internal reporting processes for ESG and ensure accurate and timely reporting and disclosure of the annual ESG data and information.
Provides foresight and advises on necessary actions regarding new ESG reporting and disclosure trends and requirements that may impact the company and its position in the industry.
Collaborates, supports, and shares knowledge with team members to ensure ESG team priorities are achieved.
Provide technical expertise on critical issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation, and supervision of ZCCM-IH operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards.
Budget
Provide ESG inputs into the business planning process.
Any other duties assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
GCE or Equivalent with Credits or Better in Five Subjects, Mathematics and English Included
Bachelor’s degree and above Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or other technical/science-based education.
Professional ESG training such as CFA certificate in ESG investing or IPF, CISL or other equivalents.
